Professional Experience Overview
I’m a scientist at large in the world. After completing a graduate degree I looked for opportunities to apply my analytical skills to real-world problems ranging from car seat safety, chemical labeling to the impact of climate change on the ocean. These experiences included everything from writing talking points, testifying before a legislative committee on the importance of wildlife corridors, drafting legislation to helping to organize California’s first Healthy Soils Week. I now combine my experience as a scientist and policy work to effectively engage communities around sustainability through education and outreach.
Education Associate
I work as a consultant for government agencies, non-profits, and public utlilties to engage K-12 students, community college students, and the general public with client messages. We connect people of all ages with ways to improve resource conservation, public health, and vision for a sustainble future.
Environmental Consultant & Lobbyist
I worked as an Associate for Environmental and Energy Consulting serving a number of non-profits. My specialization was conservation, water, and environmental health.
Legislative Assistant
I worked with Assemblymember Cristina Garcia, who is a dedicated advocate for historically underserved communities in Southeast Los Angeles. While within her office I provided analysis for legislation including water, budget, health, natural resources, and environmental health. Additionally, I helped draft and carry legislation for the member on a wide-range of topics.
